AP Employees Can Now Retire At 60 Years!

TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has certainly scored a point over his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhara Rao in wooing the State government employees. While KCR sought to woo the employees of Telangana by announcing pay scales on par with Central government employees, the TDP president went a step ahead and announced that the retirement age of AP government employees would be raised to 60 years. 

He signed his fifth file to that effect after swearing in at Guntur on Sunday evening. This would certainly enhance the image of Naidu in the eyes of government employees, who had defeated him during 2004 elections for adopting anti-employees policies. However, it would also be a blessing in disguise for the KCR government, as many of Andhra employees who have been lobbying to stay back in Hyderabad by producing nativity certificates, would now prefer to go to AP government so that they can be in service for two additional years!
