The new capital of Andhra Pradesh will come up between Vijayawada and Guntur. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced this on Monday.
Speaking to the media at his residence, Mr Naidu said that the state capital should be decided by the state government and not by a Central committee.He said if the capital comes up between Vijayawada and Guntur it will develop like Hyderabad city. It will cost Rs 4-5 lakh crore to construct a capital like Hyderabad over a period of 10 to 15 years.
He said the government is preparing a plan to benefit farmers and the public in land acquisition and in two days a policy will be announced.He said that no state has been created without having a capital city.
